Packing

Starting to think about packing now that our trip is getting nearer As we're staying in 7 different locations and taking a range of clothes I'm wondering if I should buy some packing cubes? Do any others use these and find them useful or are they a waste of money?

I use them , I didn't use to and it was hard work changing hotels every 3 /4 days and being 4 of us.

Using packing cubes makes life so much easier , I rarely unpack now just keep everything in the cubes where it's easy to find .

I've some from eBay and some from TK Maxx , the TK Maxx ones are a lot stronger .

Sorry to jump in, but can you explain how you use them. Do you have a different cube for each location? I've thought about them for our upcoming trip but just can't get my head around the benefit of them.

We have bought packing cubes after reading about them on the Dibb.

We have used them once in U.K. and seemed good, but this Summer is our first proper time to try them out. We have 4 sets in 4 different colours so each person will have their own colour with cubes in different sizes.

When you reach the hotel you can quickly find person A's stuff either in the drawer or suitcase.

We used them for our walking holiday last year and will definitely use them for our trip in September.

I'm getting them for this reason. 4 colours, one for each person. As you say so easy, especially with inpatient teen boys. Where is? Where is?
It will be so easy to say "the red cube" or "the yellow cube".

That's what I'm wondering about too.

No , each person has their own cubes one for shorts , one for shirts / tops another for underwear etc .

So it's easy for us to get what we want out daily .

Packing cubes are great, they really help keep cases organised.

Also, pack light! Be really ruthless about the amount of clothes you take and do a wash if necessary.

I invested in some last year and love them. I measured our cases and got ones that fitted width ways across to maximise space. I brought a few different colours and found it worked for me to pack by location. That way I could just grab the one or two cubes we needed out of the case and leave the rest untouched. I also found the clothes didn't crease as bad either as they weren't sliding around on the case.
