Mobile Which Universal Hotel

We stayed in The Hard Rock last year and really liked it but it's so expensive, £300 a night. So have found great prices at RPR for £185 a night, Sapphire Falls for £145 or Cabana bay for £115. I think RPR is the best as it includes fast passes. Don't want to be on a building site so Cabana Bay does worry me. Anyone any insight into any of these properties?

If you're visiting the parks then it's absolutely worth the extra to pay for RPR. It was always my favourite of the Universal hotels. However, last year we weren't visiting the parks so we chose to stay at Sapphire Falls and absolutely loved it and only wish that it too had the Express Passes.

If you wanted to have a 'look round' SF, there are lots of pics and details in my latest trip report

I can't tell you much about Cabana Bay as we've only been there to visit the food court for breakfast (lots of variety and not expensive )

We stayed in Cabana Bay for a night last year, the hotel itself was fine - no problems, the only downside was the building work did spoil the view somewhat.
Next year we will do the same but as you say opt for one that includes the fast passes as this is a big advantage.

I've stayed in all three of the 'premium' hotels ie HR, RPR and PBH and would not hesitate to say you will like RPR. Theming is very different in each hotel of course but all are done very well indeed.

RPR has smaller rooms than the other two but little between that and HRH in size and for that price I would definitely go with RPR

£185 is an excellent price. Consider booking through somewhere like Expedia and get Quidco / Topcashback as well.

We have stayed at RPR for the last two years and cannot fault it. We have moved to HRH this year just because we needed a larger room so booked a deluxe queen. Otherwise we would have said at RPR.
It's a lovely 10-15 minute walk in the morning and a lazy boat ride back

Stupid question but ... is the Cabana Bay food court open to anybody or just on site hotel guests ?

If anybody can go, how far away from RPR is it ?
