I don't know if anyone else has had the issue but on my last trip my wife book for full cover on a car through Dollar.
To my suprise we were refused the extra cover for windscreen/ tyres etc which was paid for as in USRENTACAR own terms and conditions it wasn't covered even though it stated it clearly on the voucher. Edited at 11:59 AM. |

Have you taken it up with USRentacar? What did they say about it?

They used to be a member on the DIBB. I was going to suggest sending a private message, but I can't find their username at present.
However, if you go on the USRentacar website, there is a LiveChat button near the top right, which might help to get an answer quicker. |

I always used to use usrentacar but we were never covered for windscreen or tyres according to Alamo or National. That was something extra we needed to take out there and we only ever had Gold Rate. I notice from the usrentacar site that if you had taken out the Platinum rate then this was included but not direct from the supplier - it is a separate insurance as stated below in the last sentence:-
"If our Platinum Rate is purchased (where available) in addition to the Silver and Gold rate features you will also be covered for the following. Reimbursement for any physical loss or damage to the Rental Vehicle for which You are responsible under the terms of the Vehicle Rental Agreement, including: (Total section limit: GBP 2,000.00) Physical damage to windscreens, tyres, and undercarriage. Towing costs relating to the loss or damage. If unintentionally locked out of the Rental Vehicle. Our supplier will pay up to GBP 100.00 to open the Rental Vehicle. Pay to replace a lost or stolen Rental Vehicle key, including replacement locks and locksmith. charges up to a maximum of GBP 300.00 for each and every claim. Please note that the additional Platinum insurance is exclusive to usrentacar.co.uk and is not provided directly with the supplier but through our third part insurers, for more details please see our terms." Hope this answers but no help to you now. |
