I'm distinctly underwhelmed about the whole 'Avatar Land' and this announcement hasn't done anything to convince me otherwise.

Avatar seems a bit like Marmite!

We're in the 'love it' camp (not Marmite, can't stand that!) and can't wait for it all to be finished

I agree. The end product will have to be jaw droppingly eye popping for me to be impressed. The glacial progress Disney have made on this (when did they announce this project...September 2011?!) has really taken the edge of it for me.

Disney need to get this right, and to do that means the 'wow' factor.
If it turns out like Pirates of the Caribbean or small world , it'll be a huge 'flop' and lets face it, their 'rival' over at Universal have taken the lead recently and have really come out tops iro Harry Potter, Transformers,Simpsons etc etc.
Their profits have increased substantially, despite offering cheaper tickets.

Disney should be pulling out all the stops to attract people back with Avator AND the new Star Wars Land.

I know Disney Springs must be costing a fortune. Cannot help wondering if that money would've been better spent on Star Wars Land or Avator and on some up to date new attractions and theming incorporating the latest technologies!

Perhaps I'm being unkind and its all in a master plan. Just work in progress.

I do hope so.

Yes, me too (regarding both of your comments). It sounds like a dark boat ride through areas lit by fibre optics and ultraviolet lights. Which is a little underwhelming.

I only recently saw the movie for the first time, so for me the wonder of it all is still fresh. I'm happy to wait and see what Disney come up with, just hoping it'll be open in time for my planned next trip.

Attract people back? You have read recent crowd posts, right? Your post sound like Disney are deserted and on our last visit it was exact oposide - universal parks quiet Disney packed.
