The Hogwarts Express Conductor Takes Guests on a Tour of "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter"

Universal Studios Hollywood debuts a series of virtual tour videos showcasing the Spring 2016 opening of “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™, beginning with an insider’s look at the land hosted by the Hogwarts™ Express conductor.

The video highlights some of the land’s best-known shops and eating establishments, including Ollivanders™ wand shop, Three Broomsticks™ and Honeydukes™.

More than five years in the making, and inspired by J.K. Rowling’s compelling stories and characters that were brought to life in the Warner Bros. films, “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will be masterfully recreated with impeccable detail as a real world interpretation at Universal Studios Hollywood. “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” will be faithful to the visual landscape of the fiction and films, including Hogwarts castle which will serve as its iconic focal point.

Is it going to be an exact replica of universal orlando?

It is a complete reproduction of the Hogsmeade area and Forbidden Journey ride (within Hogwarts) that you would find at Islands of Adventure in Orlando.

When we were driving by in Hollywood last summer you could see the skeleton girders of the Hogwarts school being erected.

Going next July so be interesting to see if it feels like we are in Orlando when we are here! Wonder if the technology on the fj ride is any different with it being 6 years after the Orlando ride was created. We are hoping there are slight differences,as there are with each tot rides in each Disney park

3D? It churns my stomach in 2D when you are flying down those corridors.

we were there in September and the building work was coming along nicely

the entrance looks very similar to Orlando except you can already see the castle - I love the way in Florida you only get a little glimpse at first

you can see the castle from the Waterworld show

its also visible from the Hollywood hills, this shot is taken from Mulholland Drive
