Freedom of the Seas?

Hi

We are looking forward to sailing on Freedom of the Seas in August. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience to share please good or bad? Travelling as a family of 4 with 2 children 8 & 3.

We are visiting Coco Cay, St Maarten and St Thomas any suggestions for excursions would be really appreciated!

Thanks Sarah

It is massive ship... I disliked at first day.. but I enjoyed it and my children now teenagers.. they loved it and thought swimming pool was great and there is band near swimming pool every day. Our room was back of the ship was amazing... huge balcony, two sunbed and table with two chairs..

Cococay was nice and I quite enjoyed it and we paid extra for kids for huge sliding down. they loved it...

St Maartin, we booked excursion from there not from the ship as it was cheaper and tours was great. We went back two years ago and doing same tours and we loved it. If you want to know what name of company, let me know.

St Thomas, we went up by chairlift to top and beautiful veiw to see beach etc.

plenty things for kids.

I heard that it come to Europe next year

Yep it was our first cruise and we loved it. There's loads to do (or not) and the flowrider (surf machine) is great, we had loads of fun on it. The shows on an evening a great, well worth trying to get to a couple.

We missed out on cococay because there was an event on. We arranged our own trip on St Thomas, can't for the life of me think who with tho at the moment, it was a 'group' trip but basically there were just the 4 of us on a jinty of our own, took us on a tour round the island, stopped for a bit of shopping, went right to the top of the island to see the views and stopped at a beach as well, it was great and cost about $160 total for the 4 of us. Let me know if it's something you might fancy and I will look out the details.

We took a catamaran trip on St Maarten that was arranged by someone on our roll call on cruise critic which was also fab.

Generally speaking you're going to have a fab time we went in 2012 and cruised again in 2015 and have another booked for 2017

Thank both for your replies!

I am really looking forward to it and it sounds like you had a great time. We are hoping to get to CocoCay as that is quite important to us, however I have read that it often misses the stop due to being tendered. I'm glad to hear the kids enjoyed the pools they do look really good fun especially for the kids!

I will definitely look at excursions thank you, none of the official ones are really appealing to me at the moment so if you could PM the details that would be much appreciated
