It's the biggest and fastest, what more convincing could a person need? We are really looking forward to this.

If you love coasters you will love it! Screamed all the way around but would get back in definitely!

Thanks guys! I may have to read this again before I go on. Think I'll do Manta first to warm up then head for Mako.

It looks a lot like Shambhala the one in Salou Spain at PortAventura
Did that one 2 years ago and loved it
It's built by the same manufacturer hence the similarity! Shambhala is taller and longer and has a slightly different design of train (Mako has 4-across rows whereas Shambhala has staggered rows) but will be a similar ride experience.

B+M also constructed Kraken, Manta, Hulk and Dueling Dragons in Orlando and Kumba, Montu and SheiKra at Busch Gardens.

Love all the ones you have listed
DW is not a coaster fan
This year we are sponsoring her to do 5 @ £20 each one
Money to go Cancer research (DD is running a charity night on Halloween)
I've picked Manta so far
She won't go near Mako having seen the DVD of me and DD on it
Not sure what other 4 have picked for her yet

Whilst I love coasters I won't ride manta or air. I won't do sheikra due to the drop. I did oblivion years ago but not any more! I don't normally like coasters unless they've got an over the shoulder restraint.

I watched the video of mako and very nearly didn't do it. That first drop terrified me the first time but I loved it it's now my favourite and I lost count how many times we rode it. My favourite position was front row!

I loved it! After the initial exhilarating drop its just really enjoyable!

I think I prefer the lap restraint compared to something like rockin rollercoaster where you feel like your brains been shaken/battered about between the head restraints.

I would compare this to the Big One at blackpool, very 'entertaining' ride ;-)

(to the poster above - Air at Alton Towers is very similar to Manta, or it was until they put those silly headsets on Air. Nemesis is very good but Montu is similar and better imo)
Those silly headsets are a joke, it made me want to hurl. I rode again and refused to wear the visor (even though the ride attendant tried to argue with me and insist it was compulsory even though the website said you could ride both ways.) Air is so much better when you can see the sky!

It is brilliant, my favourite ride in Florida, DD who was 11 was quite nervous about roller coasters she wasn't keen on Hulk because she thought it was quite bumpy, but she loved Mako and rode it 5 times in all. It's so smooth and the operators push the waist bar in quite tight so you feel secure.

It's the one ride that I'll actually put my arms in the air for (and DD) the air time is awesome.
