I've ordered some of these: amazon/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They are ultra-lightweight water shoes, but have a good sole on them. I've only worn them in the house but they seem pretty comfy, and are fine to get wet.

I might get a different pair from a different brand as well (not sure I like the coloured strip up the middle on mine) just for a bit of variety.

They are only £20.

Just ordered a pair of the Dudes trainers. Only problem DH is a size 8 and half and they, don’t do half sizes, I just hope they come up slightly on the small size, does anyone no, if they do.

Highly recommend sketchers

Go into a good running shop and get then to do an analysis on your DH feet and running gait. This is all done on a treadmill with a camera.
You don't need to purchase in that shop but can use this information to purchase elsewhere.
He may need cushioning if he has a high instep or ankle support he over pronates - rolls his ankle when he lands his foot.
Well worth it to get the correct trainer for all the walking.

I've bought sketchers (thanks DIBB ) and been wearing them for a few months to see how they feel. I'm so impressed, I'll probably buy another pair for our trip.
