do thomas cook do special assistance? i have found a last minute deal with them and want to fly out a week on sunday, i normally get it with virgin, is it the same with thomas cook?

yes they do and they are very good . they also let you and a carer choose your seats for free.

That's pretty poor. Most other carriers seat the whole party together free of charge.

virgin dont seat anyone for free so better than them. i know ba seat everyone for free.

We've flown twice with Virgin (family of 4) and never paid anything apart from XL seating which we expected to pay.

BA and TUI have been the same. Flying with TC this year and sorting out SA tonight so will report back on how they match up.

Have to say that every airline have been excellent at dealing with our youngest when we've been on board though. Can't fault any of them when it comes to making him fell as safe as possible.

its a few years since we were on virgin flights but never been offered free seats when booking sa.

We've flown over 20 times to Florida with VA requesting special assistance/bulkhead seats each time and have never paid. That's with party sizes from 2 - 8. They only guarantee one carer seated together, but other party members have usually been seated a row behind free of charge. I don't recall the issue of payment even coming up during contact with them.

Booked SA with TC this morning. Family of 4. All seated together with only charge being for XL. TC staff member was excellent.
