Turkey - September

Hi all

Has anyone been to Turkey in September, we are looking at some of the hotels in Lara Beach and wondered what the weather would be like at that time of year.

We have never been to Turkey but I think Jul/Aug would be too hot for me.

We were in Belek in October and will be going back this October. The weather was brilliant so it will be lovely in September. Have a look at the Voyage Belek. Really nice hotel with brilliant facilities. We much prefer Belek to Lara Beach but the hotels are lovely.

I cannot recommend this lovely hotel enough but I can see the pull for Lara Beach .we stayed in The Royal Wings at Lara Beach a few years ago , this was mid October in the school holidays and we only had two days of sunshine it rained continually and not just rain it pelted it down , we stayed indoors at the indoor pool which was obviously quite stuffy the amount of people that were using it .september should be fine , you can never guarantee the weather but more chance of some sunshine than in October .
Lara Beach is full of hotels that are geared up for young families , great pools with slides , a small funfair ( limited opening times ) tennis courts football pitches and kids clubs .The Voyage in Belek has all this but it's more pricey , although it shows as it definately had better quality of food choices and the service was so much better but for a young family I think there would be more kids around playing football /tennis and more call for kids entertainment in the Lara Hotels , you have to go with what suits you as a family
The prices have actually come down since our first visit to the Voyage a few years ago , we paid £500 less for a week last year than we did back then , it's become an unpopular tourist place due to its location , it's a shame as Turkey is lovely and the staff go above and beyond to please and we felt no less safe than we would walking around our own home town .
You will love Lara and which ever hotel you choose you will have a great time .
