V & A chefs table

It sounds wonderful, and congratulations on your anniversary.

We are hoping to go next year, and are currently deciding whether or not to go with the chef’s table, so may I ask: did you find that the chefs were intrusive or that you had to “entertain” them, for want of a better word? My husband isn’t terribly sociable so having to chat to strangers all evening would be his idea of hell!

May I ask how you booked this, can it be done on the normal dining reservation or did you have to ring. I often look on the dining site at 180 days but it is never available?

The chef came at the beginning and explained the menu n checked we were happy with everything, he popped back a couple of times to check we were ok but didn't stay n chat. I rang the 0800 number, went through to dining then she put me through to v & a to book direct with them.
