The west coast is the gulf side that's been discussed on this thread. Miami is on the other coast, the Atlantic side. Which coast do you mean? I've done both but much prefer the gulf side

We stayed on the Gulf coast at Clearwater. Highly recommend the Sandpearl resort.

That's ok, just didn't want to give you wrong advice. We have stayed in Miami, boca raton, Fort Lauderdale and have visited cocoa beach as our friend lives there. Boca Raton was beautiful and very upmarket but the people seemed a bit snobbish. I don't like cocoa beach and we only return go to our friends. Fort Lauderdale was nice but as I said earlier we much prefer the other coast so hopefully somebody else will be along to give you more helpful advice
