Is there much chance of getting a bigger car than you've paid for with Alamo?

I understand you pick your own from a row - so do the rows often have something a bit better in?

Yes they do, regularly. But, and there is always a but! They also have cars that are below that category in the wrong row as well. Have your wits about you and if not sure have a typed list of codes in your wallet e.g. FCAR etc etc.

Armed with some info you can nab a bargain.

I knew that you'd know

Cheers TM. I'm used to being assigned a specific car with Avis Preferred so was just checking. We'll not be getting something any smaller or the Mrs will have to sit on the roof. Midsize was the largest 'free' car I got with the Thomas Cook package, just hoping to nab a full size or better for a bit more room.

We have a standard SUV booked with Alamo and are going to be extra cheeky and ask if there are any pick up trucks available so that's a BIG bonus if we get one Fiance is dying to drive one but i'm refusing to pay any more over here for an upgrade to one so will just hope for the best on the day. I am more than happy to hopefully get an Explorer again as we loved it last time so he may just have to settle

Yep we did this in Sanford as the guy found us an explorer and we didn't want a Santa Fe which was all that was left

No sorry. It will be SRAR/SWAR and SFAR. Almost certainly the latter one.
