Eastern of western Caribbean

Not sure which one to do, never cruised the Caribbean before.
Would you recommend east or west?

We have done both Eastern and Western. We much prefer the ports and itinerary for the Eastern cruise. With the Western, you get a number of port days all together. The Eastern is better spread out.

We much prefer the Eastern for the above reasons, plus we found the Western ports more 'rustic'. In all honesty we felt safer in the Eastern Ports which was a factor with a young child.

We’ve done both and are planning another next year. We enjoy both equally so not much help .

Is there any port in particular that you fancy doing? Next year they’ve changed the western from Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymen and Mexico to Bahamas, two ports in Mexico and Honduras so it’s a new one for us.
