Mobile Bahamas cruise?

Has anyone done this? I’m considering a 3 day cruise at the end of our 13 day holiday. We fly home from Fort Lauderdale so would not need to drive back to Orlando.
Good idea or mad?!

Could you move the cruise to the middle of your holiday? we did this and we did do the cruise smack bang in the middle. Getting off the cruise and out of the terminal can be quite mad.

do you have an evening flight?

I dont know if it can be done, I'm sure someone on here will have tried. I just dont think its worth the stress if your tight on time

Yes we do last minute cruises! We pick up cheap Bahama cruises ($199 each for 3 days) if we see a deal and it’s great - we are usually off the ship on our last day by 7am and on the road without any problems.

always add a cruise on but don't understand why you would do it in the middle of your holiday? Your losing a days holiday. Getting on and Off the cruise are waisted days. Flying home is a waisted day. So get of the cruise and fly home on the same day. Also a nice relaxing break at the end plus would mean 2 lots of car higher for a week each time depending on how long your over there for? what website do you use to get one so cheap and it dollars? As from what ive seen most companys wont allowed brits to book in us dollars or us deals?

I have booked a 4 day Bahamas cruise in the middle of our holiday.
I booked on the Carnival website. It’s a US based company and I had no problems booking in US$.
As we are sailing from Port Canaveral, we are going up the day before. We’re going to have a day at Cocoa Beach and then sail the next day.
At the 3nd of the cruise, we’ll be off the ship early and back in the Orlando area by lunch time and checking into our next resort.

yeah carnival is us based and you can only book thru them and there us site. Royal Caribbean as an example wont let uk residence book thru the USA site. Only uk site. Unless someone knows a trick? you just said so your self you was checked into your resort by lunch time. Surly you cannot check in until 4pm as with most hotels? Even leaving your bags and another day of unpacking to re pack again later. Such a waste of a day.

If you don't mind me asking - who do you book with? $199 sounds good, we are going to Orlando in a few weeks and could squash one in at that price

We've been on a 3 day cruise on the Carnival Sensation to the Bahamas and we loved it!

We are going on a Carnival cruise in the summer! Booked on the US site and paid on my Halifax credit card so didn't incur any fees for paying in dollars. Ours is near the start of our holiday though. We fly to Fort Lauderdale and stay for a couple of days there on the beach, then when we get off the ship we are picking up the hire car and going over to Naples for a few nights. Then Key West, then Orlando! Phew!
