We always go to Clearwater Marina and go on a trip from there out into the gulf you can do half or full day rods and bait included. We are going again in October as everyone enjoyed it so much last time.

Hi, sorry to hi-Jack this post but do you mean the Fort Wilderness Resort by MK ?
I need to book my husband & son in for fishing as a surprise or our trip, but I have no idea really where to start (he does all the planning/booking for our Disney trips ! Do I call Disney direct or do we book when we get there ? Also, if I book a 2 or 4 hr fishing trip for them from Fort Wilderness, I thought I could nip over to MK on my own for a few hours..would that work logistically ?! |

If you want to combine fishing with a great day on the beach, the best place I have been is Fort Desoto. Two piers, great fishing and beautiful beaches... and it’s free (no licence required)

I have been with Orlando Princess from Port Canaveral a few times. Always a good day with them.

Husband fishes every year. We stay at St Petes and he fishes off the shore late evening and early morning. He has caught tons of catfish (which he hates) but also lots of sharks 😳 Hammerheads are the most common and some are also a very good size! Scary stuff! Also lots of stingrays. He really enjoys it. Just uses frozen squid from publix as bait... which stinks! 🤢
