Best way to travel to/from MCO
I haven't been thinking about this too much as I had planned on getting an Uber to/from the airport, as we found it so handy from travelling around last trip without much waiting. I'm thinking now, is this the best option? We're only hiring a car for 2 days in the middle of our trip for the KSC, so we won't have a car for that. We arrive in at 4:47 PM and will have went through immigration in Dublin already, so we should just be picking up our cases and on our way. I'm thinking now that this might be peak time for people picking up work and thinking is there likely going to be a surcharge at this sort of time?
On the way home we'd be leaving our hotel at around 12pm for a 3:30 flight so I'm hoping that one should be okay for an Uber... Last time I had arrange a transfer to and from the airport, and we ended up standing outside the airport for around 40 minutes waiting at 11:40pm at night, so this had put me off a bit! Edit: we're staying in the Clarion Inn LBV if this makes a difference, and we're a party of 2 adults. |

I'd Uber it will be around the same price as a transfer with just two adults but no waiting around or extra stops .

We use Uber every time from MCO. Usually a load of them parked in the Cell Lot. Took 10 mins for one to get in to us last thursday. $32 to Formosa Gardens area. Same trip used to cost $80 with a pre booked transfer.

I have not known a price spike like they do in the UK. We have got in at all times from 10am through till 10pm. Usually its around 3-5pm when all the brit flights get in and never paid more than mid $30s.
