Haha you are far more specific than me... my order of preference is "Any decent looking low-ish millage SUV with 7 seats" So i am hoping they won't have a problem with me taking one of those after booking the Elite SUV!

As I keep telling my boss, it makes me unpopular, "you have to have a plan."

Booked and OLCI lux suv for less than £210 for two weeks. Alamo have taken payment. Do these deals get honoured? What's your thoughts experiences?

If you do OLCI and Skip counter I doubt the garage staff would question it.

I had the same thing last october, £70,- for 8 days full size suv with Alamo.
1 day (normal price) rental from Miami to Fort Myers, switched the car at Fort Myers airport for 8 days rental with return in Miami.
I did OLCI for both rentals.
The lady in the Alamo booth at Ft. Myers put a $1200.- charge on my card.
I only saw this when i went trough the barrier and my wife checked the receipt.
I had to go back and had to speak to the manager, i won’t bother you with the details but it took 45 mins of talking and me getting angry to get things fixed.
Then a lot of emails with me sending cc statements and the rental agreement from Alamo UK. In the end they credited the $1200.- charge and gave me a free tank of gas.

Whatever you do, check the receipt and rental agreement before you exit the barrier! The balance should be zero if you prepaid

Didn't work quite to plan. The garage guy at the kiosk read the paperwork, I said that customer service had said over then phone I could downgrade, to a suburban, if premium elite not big enough. His response was "how's that Audi Q7 parked behind you sir". It will do nicely thanks. Not bad for less than the full size price.

Just for info, I booked a Hertz glitch a couple of years ago and was able to skip the counter so assumed I’d be home free. When I got to the gate the receipt said they would charge my cc nearly $4000. I got it sorted in the end but just be vigilant with these glitches and check your paperwork.
