Highly recommend Expedia/Ebookers/Hotels.com
If you are looking to book a hotel and holding out for a good price/not sure which way a price will go, I would definitely recommend Expedia/Ebookers/Hotels.com. They have a price matching promise where if you find a like-for-like booking anytime up to a day before check-in they refund the difference. I've used it a few times without any issue. The first time was when a hotel in Key West I booked dropped by £250, they acknowledged and refunded my claim and refunded straight away. On Friday I booked a hotel for Disneyland Paris. By lunch time it had dropped by £30, claim approved immediately, and then last night it dropped a furthe £20, again acknowledged and refunded this morning. So a £50 saving made already in one weekend.
They are very good at the matching and have been very patient with me so I just thought it may help others. |

I've just been very pleased with their price matching service. It's worth checking regularly the price of a hotel after you've booked.

I love hotels.com as you also collect free nights which you can redeem against future bookings (10 nights booked = 1 free night at the average price of those 10)
It actually works as a discount against your booking though you have to pay the tax but still a saving for nothing. They do cashback also - but I’m not sure if you still get this if you’ve amended your booking, don’t know why you wouldn’t but I’m just not sure. I’m not a fan of Expedia since I got a bit shafted on a package with them last year. Partly my fault partly theirs for not being clear but I wasn’t happy so unless there was a super saving I wouldn’t use them. |

I’ve just noticed one of our hotels we’ve booked for Thailand has reduced in cost. Where on Expedia do you contact them to claim back the difference? P.s thanks for the tip as I wasn’t aware they did this!

Go to your reservation on line and the price match is on the top of the page click on it and enter the details. They get back to you really quickly and pay the difference within a few days. I also recommend them I have saved nearly £100 on our Universal hotel not so lucky with our others due to dates but well worth a look.
