Where to leave the car
Hi all, hope this is in the right bit...
So with new early magic hours at Animal Kingdom added, meaning that hitting the park before rope drop to jump on FOP is probably worthless, I'm looking at plan B We have a fastpass for FOP on our last night at 9-10pm, but have a dinner reservation at 7:10pm at Ohana and wanted to watch Happily Ever After from the Poly Beach. I think we can probably do both. With the fireworks starting at 9pm and lasting a little under 20 mins, wouldn't we have time just to drive over to Animal Kingdom? Is this doable? They give you a bit of leeway with your fastpass time after it's ended don't they? In theory I have from say 9:20 until 10:10 to get from the Poly beach to Pandora.

Personally I wouldn't want to be rushing about on my last night and clock watching just to try and make the time for a ride. I'd much rather have a lovely meal and enjoy the fireworks without worrying if will get back to AK in time for FOP. Keep checking on MDE as people's plans change, they cancel fast passes and also other slots open up.
We booked a last minute trip and thought no chance of FOP as booking fastpasses at 21 days out but saw a post on here that more had opened up and managed to get one for our one planned day at AK as only have 3 day base tickets so no wriggle room. Managed to change other FP's so intend to go to park early do what we can, leave the park for afternoon and head back in for Lion King, Safari then FOP and hopefully see late showing of River of Lights. I wouldn't go all the way back to the park if had just been for FOP but not to say it won't be worth it for you. |

Ohana often overrun on time as you normally wait for your table . You need to consider that as well . Personally I would try for a new fop fp or watch the fireworks the night before .

I’d watch the fireworks another night. They are on every day. Have an evening in Animal Kingdom. Watch the rivers of light. Book a nice meal. Tiffins looks good or yak and yeti is a favourite.
Have your MK evening on a different night. |

Thanks all.
We are already seeing the fireworks a few nights before from inside Magic Kingdom, so that's not a worry, it would just be nice to see them from the beach. Unless I manage to grab a change of fastpass we'll definitely be using the one we have. I don't want to miss out on riding that, who knows when we'll return
