Tricky one onsite stay

Hi peeps we're thinking of booking for next sept an first onsite stay with the ddp want a decent but not break the bank place to stay but like to hit the parks at opening but next year lad nd wife wanna see the fireworks am not bothered bout going back so where would be best to stay and get back from from for them without spending daft money

Basically depends on your budget. The closer the hotel to a theme park the more expensive it is as they tend to be in the deluxe category. Deluxe hotels are the only ones that have the DDP included. Moderates include the QSDP and values include the free breakfast deal.

If you're staying on site and without a car then you can expect your return journey to a moderate/value after fireworks to be about an hour. This includes getting out the park, queuing/waiting for the bus and getting back to the hotel. Obviously this can be shorter if you're lucky with buses etc.

If you're in a deluxe near to the park where you're watching fireworks i.e. Beach Club and Epcot then it'll take hardly any time at all as you can walk it.

Port Orleans Riverside is really nice and has a good food court.

The best thing to do is a dummy booking on the Disney site to see what hotels are in your price range.
