POR or Akl
Hi I have booked a standard room at POR, and upgraded dining. I am now thinking AKL standard room isn’t much more! What would you do? Have stayed AKL before pool view but a standard view 🤔. Shall I stick to POR or not decisions decisions 🙈

I was watching a Get Binky video/vlog (not down with the lingo!) on youtube last night and POR looked amazing.
If I can't get a room at WL then my second choice would be POR rather than AKL but someone who has first hand experience of both will no doubt be along soon to give you better advice |

I have stayed at both and POR is lovely, however AKL is amazing. They are very different though so hard to say which is the best as both offer different experiences. POR is very pretty and lovely to walk around and lots of greenery. AKL has the amazing theme. I prefer staying at AKL as prefer indoor corridors and being in one building

i have done exactly as you're thinking. we were down for POR but after speaking about it with OH and watching videos of both rooms, we've decided AKL is more for us so i phoned to upgrade this morn

Hi, have you booked a standard room and if so could you put in a request for a certain area? Would hate to be looking out on a car park 🙈

yeah you can, when it get's to 190 days out (i think it's that) you can request certain areas. we also put in a request for a queen and bunks in our room.

I've never stayed at akl only visited, it feels more hotel where as POR is more resort. If that makes sense! For POR is just super relaxed and not too Disney whilst being perfectly located. The boat to Disney springs is a real bonus and we we love that.

that's what made us go to PoR first, we loved the boat from SSR and liked how close it was to Disney Springs.
I think waht has sold AKL though is the finish of the building/rooms. I don't know but i feel tha PoR seems a little tired where AKL feels more fresh (does that make sense) |
