Too late to change hotels?

Hi all,

We are flying out on May 18th and staying at Caribbean Beach Resort. We knew there would be construction going on but looking at the videos and some comments it is making us think twice about staying there.

We booked through Disney, is it too late for us to call them and change hotels? Clearly this would probably cost us more but it is the first time we have stayed on Disney property and we don’t want construction to ruin the holiday. We booked with free dining last year, in guessing any amendments would not cancel the free dining or our fast passes that we have already booked?

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Give them a call and they'll be able to tell you what's available and the cost to move. You'll keep your free dining, tickets and gift card, unless you downgrade to a value hotel. In that case you'll get the free breakfast but can upgrade it to free qsdp. You don't get the gift card at the value resorts either, but your park tickets are unaffected. If you move to a deluxe hotel, then you'll get the full ddp and gift card (park tickets unaffected).
