Opal sands... excellent hotel right on the beach.
Stayed here last year and will be returning this year. Also Sandpearl and Hilton are on the beach ( these are the only 3 hotels on the beach) Weekends are busiest. But every night from march to October they have the sunset parade ( lots of little stalls along pier 60 ) Generally they have a band which plays most nights. Weekends they have family movie night next to the pier, free for everyone, just bring something to sit on. As you walk/swim along you might find a small pod of dolphins swimming beside you! Plenty of places to eat. Gondalier. Clear sky cafe. Brown boxer, these are just afew. Lots of great bars. The hotel pier 60 has a great roof top bar where you can watch the sunsets or just have an amazing view over Clearwater. But most of all Clearwater has a calm warm sea. Powder white sand beach and the best ever sunsets... what's not to like here! Plenty to do for all the family and more... Car parking is some what of a premium There are afew along the very front. One up by frencys rock away grill. Another Next door to Opal sands hotel. These fill up very early so you need to be quick to get a park for the day! Plus a few small ones around the Bay Area. Hi thank you for taking the time to reply, can I just ask, are the only toilets situated on the bars and restaurants or are the toilet blocks dotted around along the sea front.

There's some on the marina walk, also across from surf style there's toilets. These are on the beach. These are the 2 main ones. Plenty of bars along the beach area so you will always find a toilet!
Also cold showers and foot sprayers dotted along the beach front. Edited at 10:07 AM. |

We're also thinking of going to Clearwater for the day but we aren't driving. What's our best options, should we book a trip or can you make your own way there?
