Universal Singapore?

I'm so excited to be going to Singapore for my 40th next year (all being well) and would be going to universal.

Had anyone been? What did you think to it compared to florida? The mummy ride is one of my favourites... is the Singapore one very similar? Thanks! 😊

Yes weve been , it's over on Sentosa island but very easy to get to on the metro .
The park itself is a lot smaller than orlando but it was still good, I'm pretty sure the mummy was the same ( but it was about 5 years ago and my memory isnt like it was )
There was also a hard rock cafe there too. Singapore is lovely , go to the gardens by the bay ,they are incredible

We went a couple of years ago. Fairly small but very good theming we had an enjoyable day there but it was very hot!

Loved Singapore and look forward to visiting again.
Highlights for us were
Garden by the bay
Botanic Gardens
The three Zoos -They are all at the same site and can be done in one day and they were awesome, loved seeing the Pandas in the river zoo.
We also went to MacRitchie Reservoir - its a nature reserve, if you like walking There's a great walk around the reservoir and you can also go on a tree top walk. We saw loads of Monkeys lizards, large and small and a couple of snakes.
Hope you have a great visit!

Not been to Universal, but Singapore is wonderful and I’d highly recommend a trip to Raffles for a Singapore sling. The Flyer is also good.

Agree with the above -Singapore is a great city.

For me - plenty to do and see with Universal being very low down on the list once you get there tbh.

We also loved Singapore. We actually left Universal quite early the day we went as I was struggling in the heat and humidity and had done what we wanted to do.

I agree with Redsnapper and if we go back to Singapore Universal would be way down on the list of things to do.

I love Singapore, I used to go there a lot of work. I loved the Universal over there, definitely a lot smaller than FL, but still amazing.

We have Singapore booked next year for our honeymoon (fingers crossed).

Loved it, as expected it's quite small and very compact, we liked that though as there were lots of rides without as much walking in the intense humidity. The Mummy is almost identicle but the facade/building is about 1000x better theming lol. The Steven Spielberg special effects show is amazing as well, and the Jurassic Park rapids are a unique take on the similar version in Orlando, also really good dueling Battlestar Galactica coasters. The island it's on Sentosa we really loved too, if you stayed a few nights there at one of the resort hotels it would really feel like an Orlando style holiday, there's a great waterpark too and other attractions, really felt like CityWalk, plus the man made beaches were lovely.

I live in Singapore, and have had annual passes to Universal Singapore in the past though I've not been since maybe 2018 or so. When I had an annual pass I used to drop by there for a couple of hours every now and again and just wander around or take a few rides so was fairly familiar with the park!

Hopefully things will be back to normal - currently Universal Singapore is running under a lot of COVID-19 related restrictions. We were exploring going there for a day but decided against going because of all the current ride/show closures/restrictions and limited opening hours/days at the moment.

It's tiny compared to Florida, it's almost certainly smaller than either of the Universal Florida parks, and doesn't have any Harry Potter at all.

Rides/shows pretty similar to Florida

Mummy - thought it was quite similar but apparently there are some minor differences in the storyline (I can't really tell!).

Transformers - supposed to be pretty much identical

Jurassic Park ride - this one is a rapids ride, honestly I only went on it once because you can get seriously soaked on it and I don't like getting seriously soaked on rides!

Shrek 4D - almost identical from what I've heard, though I don't remember ever having been on the Florida version (same reason as Mummy)

Happy to answer any questions about Singapore!

Sky13, we were hoping to come in April/May next year. Obviously we haven’t booked anything yet, but is there still an isolation required on entry? Is there any chatter as to when it may be lifted? I’ve planned an alternative trip, but that depends on the USA opening, so at the mo will be at home for my special birthday! Thank you.
