Freezing Gousto recipes?
Hi all,
I’m not much of a cook (hence my use of Gousto!) so apologies if this is a stupid question! I’ve got two meals left from my last box that I’m wondering if I could make to a certain point and then freeze them as ready meals to either cook from frozen or defrost to reheat. The two meals are bacon pesto Mac n cheese & vegetable enchiladas with a tomatillo sauce. Any advice greatly received! 👍 |

i would say that unless you undercooked the pasta in the mac'n'cheese before freezing, you'll come out with a claggy pasta mess if you try and freeze/reheat it once fully cooked. can you freeze the sauce separately, and then just add pasta when you want to cook it?
enchiladas on the other hand, if they arent cooked already, you can prep it all in the baking tray or whatever you use, and freeze it all before cooking (or adding cheese on top), then just defrost for a few hours, and bake as normal - the only worry is the tortillas going a little soggy, but as long as you freeze it quickly after prepping, it should be fine. |
