Before my son got the new one on dvd a couple of Christmases ago I would have said why remake it when it was so good. But I love the remake live action version!

The original for me. For some reason I find it more emotional and cry loads. Not sure that's a good reason to like a film 😂

Just can't get emotional with the 2019 version at all. Watched it at the cinema and on TV.

We were talking about this the other day when we saw the stage show as I said I actually preferred the Lion King show in Animal Kingdom. But, perhaps that's because we were in the furthest, and highest row possible so seemed too far away from the action.

I love the original cartoon too. I think there can be a tendency to enjoy your first experience of something, because of the wonder and happiness involved with that experience. That's why it's so interesting to me to hear that so many people loved the live action movie. Shows just how good it is.

Original for me, watched the 2019 and feel they ruined it. I hated it so much the dvd is collecting dust somewhere in the back of my wardrobe

I'm a sucker for the animated version, as that is what I grew up with.

However, I did enjoy the live action version. It was pretty much a shot for shot remake which i appreciated.

Both really good films but the original version just wins out.
I can vividly remember watching it with my toddler son sat on my knee Boxing Day 1992, he’s 30 now.

I love them both. The original really gets me in the feels though.
