Nutcrackers or toy soldiers

They seem to be everywhere and I find them creepy, many years ago we went to Disneyland Paris and they were dancing in a parade to the Nutcracker Suite and that was really good. Does anyone else find them creepy or do you love them?
I couldn’t have the Christmas ones in my house.

Sandra, my advice is don’t visit my local Sainsbury’s because the shelves are full of them, so go to another supermarket.

Sainsburys should try selling food instead of Nutcrackers, we went to Tesco last week because sainsburys shelves are usually empty. It’s the mouth on the soldier I find weird! 🥺

And the mouths of the soldiers in Sainsbury’s are massive!

I have been trying to buy coffee filters in all the supermarkets but they’re sold out. I get people stocking up on toilet rolls, but coffee filter?

We had some very old fairy tale and nursery rhyme books in the family with really horrible pictures. I hated them and I remember an ugly rat and a broken nutcracker. I used to turn the pages over to avoid some pictures. And I hate clowns too. And swimming pool mascots when I don't know who is in them.

We went to see the nutcracker at the Beck theatre because my daughter wanted to see the show up London, I said if this is brilliant we’ll go to London. We both hated it, we also hated Charlie and the Chocolate factory show with the creepy Ompa lompas. It’s the stuff of nightmares!

Sandra I love a nutcracker!
My son picked up 2 new silver ones for me last week from B&M . They are about a metre high and I’m thinking I’ll use them to be on guard either side of my door arch which spans the patio doors .
