Our local favourite (Valente’s, Fife)

Also does great red/white/haggis pudding suppers.

All haddock up here, very few places offer cod.

The lower price is great, but I had no idea about the regional variation. I can't get my two chippy staples down here- a macaroni pie supper and a white pudding supper!
Not sure about the idea of a macaroni pie supper but I have seen white puddings in a few places. I will need to keep an eye out for you re exactly what places have them.

£9.00 for fish and chips, it would cost £45 for us all to have fish and chips the kids have sausages and sometimes dh has a pie and it comes to £35. Very expensive I think

Haddock is better anyway.

Cod = worms. (I know they can occur in haddock also!).

The taste is delightful, when they opened in 2019 I added up 500 quid in visits for 6 months!

I have calmed down a bit since
Do they inform you of that?
As a pescatarian, I wouldn’t be happy at all.

As for the OP - I actually have no idea as it’s rare we go to the chip shop. I do know that it’s not cheap here though - Mcds/KFC/BK is a much cheaper option these days.

Around £12 for cod & chips for 1 person; ≈≈≈ in West London; the F stands for Fish, not the other word 😃

Edited as the title of the fish & chip shop has been censored 😂😂
The full title of the shop is What The Fish but they’re known by the initials.

Edited at 11:14 PM.
