Calling all DIBBERS!
Hi!
 Sorry if this is not strictly the correct forum, but we do need to know the answers to these questions to help plan our trip! We have a Keys to the Kingdom tour booked for 8am next Monday! (Eeeekkkk can't believe the holiday is no so close!)  Anyway, we are staying offsite and so will be driving to MK. 1) What time does the monorail/ferry begin operations? I've read that the 1st Monorail is about 30minutes prior to opening. This wouldn't give us enough time to get to the Park if that is the case. Are there any other ways to get to the MK from the carpark? 2) When speaking to the lady to book the tour she said to park in Contemporary and tell the security guard we are on the early tour, that he would give us a ticket and this should be fine for us to then move the car later. She's advised us to be there for around 7am  How do we get from Contemporary to MK? Looking at the map it seems walkable? If so has anyone done this?! how long will it take?!We've never stayed onsite at Disney and never been at MK this early before and would really appreciate all you DIBBERS thoughts/ideas and recommendations!

The monorail starts early I'm sure we were at MK by 7:15 last year.

Also, on MDE it says the monorail begins 30minutes prior to the earliest park opening (8am MK) meaning it will start at 07:30... not enough time to be there for our tour

Another option would be to use the Valet service at the contemporary and leave it there all day and walk over? The walk is only 5-10 minutes max.

How was the tour?
I would love to do it next time and hope you got there on time, if so did you park at the contemporary ?

Just FYI, if you are staying at a Disney resort, they will provide a toffee taxi for you if you need to get to one of their parks early. We've done this a few times, including Tuesday when we needed to be at Animal Kongdom for 7:15 for our Wild Africa Trek.

If the monorail starts at 7:30am then as long as you're on that first monorail then you will be fine.
Parking at the contemporary is good to, it's a short walk to the park from there
