What do you drive...

I did a thread like this last summer but I know things change so I'm asking again.

I've got a red 2008 BMW 118d but I'm currently trying to sell it, without much success, so I can buy a new car.

However I haven't decided what to buy - I had a Mercedes SLC on order but that's very recently fallen through as the dealer moved the goalposts, which left a bit of a sour taste. So not sure what to do now - maybe my fellow Dibbers will inspire me

I'm in the IOM and they agreed to first register the car here (we don't go via the DVLA) and take mine in part exchange with a £500 deposit. But then they said they'd only do that with another £4000 as a deposit, so £4500 altogether, which I just haven't got without selling my car privately.

The E Class convertibles are lovely, bet it looks amazing in red!

Haha, you sound like my husband. He keeps suggesting cars and when I say no he says "but it has ... bhp"!

An old trusty 2004 Fiat Stilo, which has served me well and been cheap to buy (second hand) and run. I am hoping she can see me through until 2018 when I intend to buy a new (to me but not off the forecourt) car, of which I have yet to even decide what type of car I would like although bigger than 1.4 of my current car.

I would prefer the money go in the Fertility/Florida/Home fund than on a car
