Just received a notification email about a new login to our Disney account.
Just received an email from Disney Account Member Services to say our account was accessed by a new sign in from a location in Manchester UK.
It does say that the location may not match our exact location. Anyway, Disney recommends changing the password if we think it wasn't us, so as we're around 150-miles south of Manchester and it was acccessed around 3am we changed our password. We immediatly received a new email from Disney Account Member Services to say our account was accessed by a new sign in from a location in Manchester UK. (Maybe one of us accessed our account in our sleep) Anyone else received a similar email recently? Just checked the WDW web site and found the following. Why did I receive a notification email about a new login to my account? In our continuing efforts to safeguard your account data, The Walt Disney Company informs users whenever their account is logged into from an unrecognized device or browser. Trusted devices and browsers have been tracked since Fall 2019. If you logged into a device or browser since then, you would have received a notification. Please check the device or browser name and location in the email to confirm the notification was a result of your login. NOTE: Location listed is based on IP address and may not reflect the actual location of the device or browser. What if the notification email was not caused by my login? If you are certain the unfamiliar sign-in notification email was not caused by your own login: Click “I don’t recognize this activity” You will be asked to reset your password to secure your account. All active sessions on your account will be logged out, and you will need to log in again using your new password. Going forward, you will be notified of any activity on your account from that or any other unrecognized device or browser. Disney+ Subscribers: If you are subscribed to Disney+, you should also update your password there to fully protect your account. |

Yes I received one just before midnight last night saying someone signed in from London (may not be an exact match) on google. It was me who signed in (from Merseyside) though.
The website was down for maintenance last night though. |

Yes, I got one this morning too - shortly after I'd logged in using my iPad, which I use all the time to login. Disney IT at its finest again I reckon.

Your location does not always match up as it can depend on how you are routed to the website you are accessing.
