Fish n chips on the beach, and as often as you like - is there anything better?

So keep your inland town locations because it must be much worse than living by the sea.

Live near the mouth of the Tyne. I love it but it's not without it's disadvantages.

Seagulls, sea frets, tourists / day-trippers, fog horns, coastal drinkers, always being one part cooler than the rest of the country during Summer and one part warmer in Winter (so never get proper snow)...

I wouldn't swap it though.

We no longer live by the sea and I miss it terribly. My family all still live in Cornwall so pre covid we visited often.
Went to my mum’s bank holiday weekend for the first time in a year and this is the view from her back garden deck

I love living by the sea. 5 min drive away. I am on the beach most days at anytime of the year.
We use to have a open air baths years ago and spent every school holiday in there. Wish we had it still.

I'm less than a mile from here and I can't remember the last time I was on the beach.
But i do like sitting outside a bar in Tynemouth watching the people go by😎
