Just for the op I think I would offer the advice that, "its to do with Facebook etc going down." Hope that helps and makes her day go a bit better. Please give us update on what happens.

I don't use Safari due to issues with it so having the issues using google chrome on a macbook - does anyone know if that would still throw up issues please and how to get rid of them

I know a few people mentioned these issues last week, but your post is a bit rude - sounds like you got into a temper with it.
I use a Mac (and its not the newest), iPhone and iPad and I've never had any problems.
