Seen three movies this weekend,
Nightmare Alley, looked good on screen but too slow and didn’t amount to much. Very disappointing given who the director is. The Kings Man. Utter tripe. Belfast, superb and worth sitting through 2 rubbish movies to see.

I watched Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings earlier.
I enjoyed the story. The fight scenes were fantastic and the special effects amazing. Minor downsides were that it’s a long movie even for Marvel, and Awkwafina was playing the same mildly irritating character she seems to in every movie I’ve ever seen her in😁 |

I watched Titane last night, French film that won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival last year. Very strange and unsettling. It's about a woman who is a serial killer and loves to have sex with cars, and she becomes pregnant from a Cadillac.
Yes, you read that right! It's really about gender issues, unconditional love and family relationships, but it's quite a trip! Edited at 11:20 AM. |

Watched The Father last night, wonderful performance by Sir Antony Hopkins. The film is so well made, the confusion in the way it’s filmed made me partially understand how life must be for the dementia sufferer (which is the whole point of it). Made me cry 💞
