We're due to go in 3 weeks but were never planning to do parks as we're only in SSR for 4 nights.
Our US friend then asked if we'd go to Epcot with her as she loves the Art Festival and we agreed, but I read up on Genie+ and was dreading it.

Luckily, she has found someone else to go with so we will just be lazing around SSR and DS.

So sad that Disney is being ruined for some. Do you think that there will always be people willing to pay the price and work with whatever system they have in place for rides ... like even if we stopped going, they'd be a new family to take our place?

Sound perfect Joa, lazing around SSR is now our preferred way to use our points when at WDW.
I think there’s pent up post covid demand. They rely heavily on repeat business, people who are not Disney fans have little interest in going year after year. I’m hearing so many say things are going so downhill.
Happily the resorts were good as ever, and I love the resorts and atmosphere at them.
