Wdw park picnics

So we were onsite ddp people.

But all the changes mean we are doing a villa for the first time and eating in wdw trying to get though all the credits are confined to history! Now some wdw food are must do and we will feature that in but on the whole with 4 of us (boys 16&18 that inhale food) we wont be doing QS every day. Im sure its cost effective if you share but my family dont do sharing!

So how do you take picnics into wdw and keep the food safe in July temps? And what do you pack? Its a holiday so something better than school pack up (sarnie and a flapjack) would be nice but I struggle to think what we could take in that heat.

My step daughter and boyfriend are come too and hes diabetic so think we will need snacks as well

We havent taken picnics into the park, but have frozen bottles of water and taken one each. We have also taken fresh fruit and a bag of crisps.
Im not sure on the food policy, so it might be worth checking?
Other things you could take are cereal bars, or perhaps pastries so you could have a snack to keep you going for a few hours.

We always take a picnic we take lots of frozen water thats keeps everything cold and take capri sun and soft drink.
We take nice fresh rolls from Walmart with cold meat, chopped up melon, fruit in zip lock bags, crisps, chocolates, muffins, USA lunchables which are different. Pop tarts or the small pack cheese or peanut biscuits. We all go to Walmart and kids and partner pick what they like.

We have often taken sandwiches in. We bought some little cool bags off Amazon which fit in 2 sub sandwiches in each and flat cool blocs. We have a kitchen and fridge in DVC rooms. Funnily enough we never did it this year but have in the past. Weve also done it in Universal and Busch Gardens despite them supposedly not allowing it in Busch we had no probs.

We take boiled eggs, still in their shell, as well as the above suggestions

We take sandwiches from public which are delicious and large so could share. Plus some crisps then get nice snacks in the parks.

Frozen water bottles and a cool bag keep everything cold.

Small cool bag, frozen water bottles to keep things cold and we buy subs from publix. Sometimes they are premise other times we make our own. And have been known to use left overs from dinner.
