Kate TBH I just took that to be their rate, I know that PP's rate is notoriously bad but that's the way Dave's pay you - I had hoped to have it paid directly in to Suntrust. The "spread" is where the FX "dealers" make their money anyway

I found when I converted it back into dollars into the suntrust via wise I didn’t loose out that much overall

Ali when I tried Paypal was directing me to use their Fx/Partner but after numerous attempts at getting their system to recognise that I was UK based with a US Bank account- I couldn't get by account holder's address, they wanted screenshots etc I gave in !

Paypal even added a fee to transfer from your PP dollar account and into Suntrust of 3% in Jan last year, it was free before then.

Makes buying Disney egift cards with your PP US dollars a better option as there's no fees.

Br'r good to know as I will have the balances going in once the 2 bookings have been used. I did just consider leaving them then using the $ amount for Uber/Lyft but the GC is also a good option.

I converted from PayPal to my uk account then went into wise and transferred into my suntrust account so what I lost coming this way I gained back going back into dollars , if that makes sense

Had I not converted back into suntrust into dollars and was going to keep in pounds would have been pretty rubbish
