Mobile Arrived today - Alamo

LGW flight which was meant to land round 3 landed after 4 and was joined by a LGW Virgin flight. Ordered mid size SUV and it was the poorest selection Iv seen in 4 years. 1 Rav 4, 1 Ford Escape a pick up and an 8 seater. What happened to the rows of Jeep patriots etc. Very disappointed. Guess it’s a timing thing having landed just after the Virgin Flight

Anyone ever went back to swap?

We arrived last Sunday and there were very few cars in the midsize row (4 with the rest being MPVs. We had to change our car a couple of days later as it needed maintenance and was an out of State car so they wanted it back asap to deal with it. We found the situation was similar but this time there were only 2 cars, several trucks and MPVs and were told a lot of cars had been sent up to the Carolinas and not returned yet.

Usually better to sort it at the garage before leaving rather than going back after the event.

For the future. If you have a VA flight in front of you - go to the B side to get your car as most of the VA/VH passengers follow the instructions to go to the A side.

We always go to B side. Nearest the monorail 4 gates and easiest access to 417 south which we always use.

Good luck and safe drive along the 192.

Obviously I have no statistics to prove it as I don't pick up my car at times other that late afternoon/early evening. I have said before though that as MCO and the car hire desks are 24/7 operations drivers from NYC can arrive at 1am and pick up a car and also drivers from LA can arrive at 11pm and pick up a car so they are constantly refreshed.

There probably might be a spike if a couple of VS, BA and TC all arrived together especially as Redsnapper says if the majority of VS passengers automatically go over to side A.

I can't say how much better the choice is between the two as we are easily satisfied when it comes to our full size saloons. Just the two of us anyway and there's usually a lowish mileage one available. Always sit in a few to check the bells and whistles though.

There is a VA and TC due in around same time as our BA flight
Been watching them over the last few Mondays and it's pretty random who gets in first

GB

You'll have seen my other "lazy" reply to MCO immigration over the years as well.

No international arrival within say 30 minutes before your flight - through in 15 minutes.

Three international arrivals within 30 minutes before your flight - could be 2 hours.

Seems to be so many variables about other things as well since we last arrived in April. From maybe 50% given customs forms to nowadays nobody given them. From everyone directed to the kiosks to everyone directed straight to the IO.

What will be will be
Never experienced MCO immigration as previous trips have been Sanford or MCO via Dublin so immigration cleared in Dublin
