Gosh I love the Dibb. Those MAN and Belfast are fantastic prices.
Conundrum:
Wwyd?
1. Get bus to Belfast (we're in Dublin) and stay overnight with a friend. Bus back to Dublin on return.
Flights to MIA £2050 for 3A 3C
Plus £100 for bus.
£2150 total.

2. Fly Dub- Man with Ryanair plus bags. £600
Man- Mco £1600.
£2200.

Depending on timings would go up on bus, back with Ryanair from Belfast.
.wouldn't wish to trust my non-through ticket transatlantic flight to Ryanair.

Way back wouldn't worry so much.

For those living in the North of England I found quite reasonable flights with BA today for 3 weeks with car hire. Prices based on 2a 2c ( age 14 and 11) flying from Newcastle to Miami.

I took a screenshot of prices for intermediate size cars. I’d have been very happy to book at that price given it’s definite school holiday dates but not going until 2020😩

Photo not very clear but it’s £2521 total price for flights and a Ford Edge for 3 weeks.

Edited at 10:32 AM.

It seems to. I know often with virgin it’s cheaper to book the car separately rather than pay the insurance but this says it includes unlimited mileage, collision waiver damage...
I took a photo of what it includes.

It says the same for all the car sizes.

I don’t know if the flights include luggage. As I’m not actually booking for this year, I haven’t bothered going any further than the first screen that comes up. You do have to change at Heathrow but it’s a good connection time and you fly from Heathrow. You don’t have to hot foot it across to Gatwick.

Thanks for clarifying! That’s great! And it’s just made me feel more depressed that I have to wait for next years BA sale and hope the prices are the same!😂

The luggage charges are extortionate it’s very easy to get caught out when searching for the cheapest flights.
I can’t believe the prices for direct flights from Belfast it looked too good to be true, if only we had customs here that would be the icing on the cake 😂

We go for a minimum of 3 weeks during the summer holidays, 24 nights flydrive for 2 adults, a teen and a child cost 2149 this year. For the last 3 years we’ve paid no more than £550 each, I generally book in Sept but the prices haven’t been right so I’ll keep watching to see what comes up

That’s a great price. Last time I flew to Florida I paid £4,000 for 4 flights with Thomas Cook and no car so you can see why I was impressed with the prices I saw yesterday!😂
