TC Gatwick Check in Post 20th May 2018

Hi, has anyone on here checked in at Gatwick for a Thomas Cook flight since 20th May? Apparently there are new security measures and only 1 check in desk. My husband queried this with T C as we have priority boarding and they emailed him to say 1 desk, for all boarding categories so economy, economy priority and premium all queue up together. I’ve read on a different thread that someone else was told there is still two queues. Can anyone confirm who has checked in after 20th May which is correct?

Many Thanks

I'm interested in the response to this as well as we have a premium tickets and priority check in. Not heard anything yet though.

Hi. We have checked in with TC at Gatwick since the changes and, honestly, nothing was different! We flew premium and checked in at a separate desk from everyone else, from what I could see there were two desks open for economy. The guy who checked us in was def more chatty than usual and I suspect that was all part of the pre-screening process but other than that, we were checked in and having our first drink in the lounge within 30 mins.

I also have to say that TCs premium product is really very good. Well worth the extra pennies x

We did on 30th, there is a separate block of desks just for the us flight, it was about 6 desks I think and one of them was premium with a separate queue. We were economy out, got the early around 3hr 45 before flight and sailed through, a few questions in the queue where we were going and why etc but nothing major. Flight was delayed 1hr before we even checked in, then held at the gate making it even later, then we sat on the run way as an engineers signature was missing off the paperwork meaning we couldn’t take off until they found him and got him to sign. That said TC were great and upgraded entertainment to premium in whole plane for the delays. We sailed through an empty immigration when we got there and were in car on way out just over an hour after landing

I thought they must have a separate desk for Premium - imagine the uproar if you paid all that extra money... we got the priority passes for free as an apology due to a separate muck up with our group of 11 booking. Hopefully we can use the Premium queue as previously promised. Thanks
