I told the guy at the exit booth I had a prepaid rental and he sent me round to the office. I had a copy of my rental voucher to prove it was prepaid. The staff disappeared and then reappeared with a voucher with I think $190 on it. I queried it again and eventually got one with zero to pay. She never commented on it the whole time but I did hear them laughing through the back so I assume they realised what a good price I’d paid. I got what was supposed to be a Mercedes GL450 for around £450 for 3 weeks. In the end it was an Infinity QX80.

I know there is the AmEx code glitch too, but has anyone used that code on the French site? It seems to be even cheaper. I have a normal SUV booked, but using that code on Hertz.fr means for another £40 I could drive an XT5 or equivalent instead?

Someone posted an Amex code and I used that to get 20% off. I booked through Hertz UK though. The French site was more expensive for my dates.

I just searched on the Hertz site for my dates in September. Didn’t do anything special. The Amex code was mentioned on another thread about this. I’ll see if I can find it.
