First of all, has anyone done this and what did you think of it? Second, is it the kind of thing I should be booking before we go, or is there pretty good availability at most times? Just not sure I want to commit to a time yet. Thanks.

We did it a couple of years ago and I enjoyed it. Our female driver talked the whole time so we didn't get to relax the way I hoped. We booked it before we went so can't comment on availability.

Felt like royalty, and very romantic in the dark. We booked the same day direct with the resort.

We've never done it but both times we've stayed at POR there was availability on the day, except when there was heavy rain.

We did it as a walkup in 2010 - then again there had been minus 2C temps that day so we were probably the only ones!
