Clearwater and sand fleas

I have just returned from 2 nights at Clearwater beach (beautiful and amazing) with at least 300 bites. We hired 2 sun beds but I lay on a towel on the sand and clearly ended up on a sand flea nest. The bites are awful. Please hire a sunbed if you go to the beach.x

Wow you poor thing, sounds bad ! , I've never heard of sand fleas!
What are you putting on your bites ?

Sand fleas are nasty little blighters. DH and I often get bitten if we don't put on repellant. There is a good article here about the bites, what to watch out for and how to treat them.
