BBQ Anna Maria Island

Hi everyone

Does anyone know if there are places to BBQ on or near Anna Maria Island Beaches please?

If so how close to parking to get our cool boxes there?

If not are there anywhere good reasonable places for food? There's 12 of us with varied appetites so something like a subway or where we can buy a mixture of food and all dip in kinda thing.

Many thanks.

Just spent a week here and didn't notice anyone bbqing near or on the beach, I don't think it's allowed on the beaches. There is a park at the north of the island that has grills but not sure if you can take your own BBQ and also coquina beach park which you may want to look at

I don't recall a subway but there is lots of places that do takeaway, we liked mr bones BBQ which did takeaway, not that cheap but big portions

There is a new BBQ restaurant opening at the end of August -

Bayfront Park is probably the best place to try if you want to BBQ yourself, we saw several people do this last year. Two Scoops is closeby if you want to buy similar food to Subway and just have a picnic in the park.

Thanks for that, just googled it and can see it. Find Subway so easy due to so many of us going.

If you want a lovely meal and a cocktail right on the beach head to the Sandbar, we then went on the beach and stayed till sunset. This was the best day of my holiday and I cant wait to go back!

There are fixed grills at Coquina Beach in the park area with lots of parking. There are also washrooms and changing rooms.

We like to go a bit further south and park to the left, just before the bridge over to Longboat Key. Walk right under the bridge and again, lots of grills, tables and changing rooms - VERY quiet on the beach there.
