birthday treat for DD's 10th

We have a cruise booked for end Aug next year (3 nights on Dream)and now just booked flights. We're actually flying day before DD's 10th Birthday so she's not having a "party"/Birthday at home. Just wondered if DCL would do anything for her birthday even though it's not actually whilst we're on board. (Birthday 18th Aug, cruise 28th).

If you let your Head Server know on the first night, they will possible present her with a little cake and sing happy birthday to her .. They will all gather around to do it!
You can also get birthday badges from Guest Services.

Yes you can inform them and celebrate on ship, note it in your reservation tell the head server they will sing happy birthday and you can get a cake. There are DCL celebration packages but not worth it bring them yourselves, what we also did was get birthday cards from everyone not sailing get them dinged and keep secret and put them out on the day of celebration.
