A MAGICal Adventure WBTA / Day 9 Characters and Cocktails 14/09/2014

We had another unsettled night's sleep, but we didn't really know why! We had to be up early anyway for character breakfast at 8am so we got up at 7.20am to get ready.

Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and Goofy wandered around Cariocas for photos and autographs but we didn't get very long with any of them before they were marched to the next table. We were told before they let the characters into the restaurant that we could have one autograph and two photos per family. The food service was also chaotic so in all, it was a bit of a tense and rushed experience but we got some nice photos!

Matt had a cooked breakfast, but I had something a bit lighter as I wasn't all that hungry.

At 9.30am, we headed up on deck, and watched Lilo & Stitch, Captain vs Cruise Director Wii bowling, and Toy Story 3 on Funnel Vision.

We had lunch at Cabanas followed by some ice cream.

By 3pm, Matt was struggling to cope with the heat, so we headed back to the room to get ready for Cocktail Mixology organised by the lovely FloridaMel (Thanks Mel!).

At 4pm, we headed down to Mixology at Animator's Palate, where we made a Tequila Sunrise, Washington Martini, Caipiroska, Beer Breezer and finally, a Brain Damage. We had heaps of fun...you wouldn't believe we don't normally drink. Mind you, Matt didn't drink much of his! It was fun to join in though!

After the class, we headed up on deck to get some pizza to settle our stomachs after all the alcohol!We then went to our stateroom to get ready for the evening.

Tonight's show was Kyle Knight and Mistie's magic show. We were skeptical but really enjoyed it and it was very impressive! Matt said it was probably his favourite show of the entire cruise!

After the show, me and Matt headed to Disney Tunes Trivia in the Promenade Lounge (on our own this time, as Kim and Ross were at Palo). A Bahama Mama, Coke and Diet Coke came to $12.65. It was a tough one, and we score 19/30 which wasn't bad given that I did it alone (Matt is no help!).

Dinner tonight was at Lumiere's for the Taste of the Caribbean menu. We were dining alone tonight as Victoria, Scott and Parisa didn't come to dinner and Kim and Ross were a Palo! It was a big table all to ourselves, lol.

We finished dinner early and so I checked the Navigator app and Stitch was due to appear in the Atrium shortly so we lined up to wait for him (He's Matt's favourite character!)

This is one of my favourite photos from the cruise, my enlarged copy arrived today for a big frame we have!

We then went to the Walt Disney Theater to watch the Once Upon a Song show. This was a lovely performance of some Disney classics performed to a soundtrack played by the San Francisco Philharmonic Orchestra. I really enjoyed this show, as a general fan of Disney music.

After the show, it was time to hit the sack. Tonight's towel animal was a frog!

Sounds like a lovely cruise so far, I would love to sail the Transatlantic some day but will have to wait until my kids are grown up
