There is a phone number on the website, not sure if anyone will be there to answer at this time but worth trying it?

Very surprised about this decision... Whilst I appreciate any respect and time of mourning... Seems to me these maniacs have got what they wanted... Loss of life, lots of publicity, and bringing a city and it's tourism to a standstill.

Whilst I know that this is much closer to home for DLP, I just want to ask... Did WDW or DL California close for the days after 9/11?

I think walt disney world did close for a day afterwards but it was also one of the high risk areas at that time too.

Does anyone know if this closure includes the village as well?

Disney village was open today and I guess will still be open the next few days.

DW travelled out there last night (too late to visit a park) and travels home tmrw night.

It is entirely possible that Disney have been advised to close for an extended period of time. The threat i.e. modus operandi of these terrorists is very different to 9/11.

I do know that Disney will have the welfare of its staff and guests as paramount.

Whilst there of course safety concerns... The announcement fits in with the 3 days of mourning which has been announced for paris / France.

I completely understand, but its a bit frustrating. I could have rescheduled my flights with air France today or got a voucher refund. My flight leaves at 6am so as I'm not turning up I guess I've lost our money. Pity they waited till everything, including themselves were shut, or they could have at least had someone fielding calls for a couple of hours tonight?

Indeed, and i would imagine this is the primary reason for the temporary closure.

I think its mainly due to the french traditions of the 3 day period that DLP are noticeably doing quite a drastic closure.

It wasnt done in the US during 9/11 as its not a US tradition

I personally would rather for peace of mind more than anything reschedule for another time. Legally DLP will be obliged to exchange dates or refund im sure.

My sister in law went to egypt dispite knowing all the stuff going on recently on the 3rd and only managed to get on a flight home today.
She regrets going and wishes she had just transfered her trip to spain and not taken the risk. My neice has had an extra week off school, she has lost out on work & the general not knowing of whats going on of when she would be home has been stressful.

I know it can happen anywhere at anytime but should something like that happen id want to be in my home x
