Free dining offer and annual passes

I upgraded to an annual pass a few weeks ago. Ow does me having an annual pass work for the free dining offer? My husband doesn’t have one so would buy tickets.

It doesn’t I’m afraid. Part of free dining is that you book tickets and hotel as a package.

In this instance, you would be better to wait for the free nights offer or rent points if you're happy staying in a DVC property. Both of these options can purchase the dining plan although all cost estimations suggest it's hard to recoup the money back so you'd be better putting that money aside and using it to pay OOP.

You still need to buy theme park tickets, even to purchase a dining plan.

If you are staying at a DVC villa you do not need park tickets in order to purchase the dining plan.

Sorry, you're right if booking on free nights, no plan without tickets. Forgot that I had done that since they were on offer at the time so may as well order at the same time.

But as above, DVC points renters can purchase the DVC dining plan - same entitlements, but no ticket requirements as they know a lot (majority?) of DVC members are probably also APs.

The DVC plan is in US dollars though, so not always a good deal depending on the exchange rate. Personally I'd just set aside the cash equivalent and use it as a PAYG dining "plan"
