Can anyone honestly say that any character dining experience is good value for money? I have never found it to be if you are judging it on food alone and I have done CP, TH, Chef Mickey, Grand Floridian and more. You are paying for the convenience of meeting the characters without having to queue in the parks - the food is just an add on. It’s never been amazing, the servers have never been worth 10% (so that’s generally what I’ll leave) and the whole thing is chaotic. If that suits you then go for it - but you will be paying over the odds for a mediocre experience like the rest of us have, and probably will continue to do.

I would have to disagree. We’ve had some really nice food and some great character interaction. We don’t do character meals now as we feel we’ve done them all but there are some restaurants we’d still like to be able to eat at and wish they did a non-character room!

We enjoyed Tusker House breakfast on our last trip, so much so that we'll be doing it again this August.
Granted, it's not the best value, and the food is I guess a bit average (though the ham at TH breakfast was gorgeous), but the experience is what you're paying for. We've done Akershus before, was okay but not great, CRT twice (once as a birthday meal for our little one, and that was really special, but mainly for the setting and the extortionately priced extras we bought - Glass Slipper etc), neither of which we'll repeat again due to the little one's age. As well as TH breakfast, we'll be doing 1900 Park Fare this August - again for the experience, not expecting anything special in the food.
